new glasses!

Yes, that is the most exciting thing of the day. Doug packed up some of my cups and apparently has no intention of getting them back out. So Jodi was out at Target and picked up some stuff. Went a little nuts, though, as we now have ice cube trays that spell "ice" and a new spray bottle for getting Cookie, among other things.

On another note, as if Nelly showing up on CMT wasn't enough to show that commercialized music is all becoming the same, a country song by Keith Urban was #2 on 98.1's countdown tonight while I was driving home from work. They're not exactly the Toby Keith, Alan Jackson kind of station.

First of all, I didn't pack up your glasses. As said multiple times, they are at Adrian and Lauren's - the site where all our stolen kitchen products remain!

At least your glasses are *all* gone - I have an ex roommate who took my butcher knife, ruining the knife set, and ONE spoon, ruining my entire flatware set.

Lucky you got replacements.

Nate--Charles here. My children just bought Keith Urban's latest CD and my son will see him in concert in August. We just got back from a Kenny Chesney concert. What do you think about him?

I'm a George Strait, George Jones, and Johnny Cash kind of guy myself. Couldn't you tell?

I hate Internet Explorer. I typed a nice long response, then the browser crashed.

As to Doug, maybe I've been a little hard. Maybe it wasn't you who asked to borrow my stuff for the camping trip and then left it at Adrian and Lauren's. Maybe you didn't pick a weekend where it was freakin' triple digit temperatures to sit in a canoe. I'm still recovering from sunburns and earaches. But before you complain about me being rough on you, just remember you're the one leaving us, after all. That, and I did go, which has to count for something, right? And I'm helping you move out, right? Man, all the stuff I've done for you :)

It is fun getting replacements for kitchen stuff, even if it is on your own credit card. Losing a spoon to a whole set is actually something that would annoy me a great deal; I literally dug through the bag of silverware Doug is packing to find anything that was mine. I found four knives, three forks, and two spoons in the set. I wouldn't normally remember, except that Savantelle's parents gave me the whole set for college, and I don't like losing things from family friends. This is the set of silverware and dishes that got taken camping, per the reference above, that has not fully returned.

I had a detailed rundown of music I have, but I don't feel like retyping. One of those freak accidents that ends up confining some thoughts to never be revealed.

Anyway, I do like some Kenny Chesney, particularly I Go Back. I probably have songs from about three dozen country artists, ranging from Toby Keith's American Soldier to the Dixie Chicks Ready to Run. I really like Rachel Proctor's Me and Emily, which probably has some psychological cause due to my having a younger sister named Emily. I have a very broad collection of music, the kind where basically anybody flipping through the playlists on my laptop invariably stop and say in disgust, "you have this song?" I'm flattered every time.
